Producer: Irving Azoff, Robert Evans
Director: James Bridges
Description: Moving from his rural Texas home to take an oil refinery job near Houston, young hardhat John Travolta begins hanging out at famed honky tonk nightclub Gilley's. In this world of country music, "weekend cowboys," and fast women, Travolta falls for feisty Debra Winger, but their romance has more bumps than a ride on the mechanical bull. Scott Glenn, Madolyn Smith co-star, with appearances by The Charlie Daniels Band, Bonnie Raitt, and others.
Coke Brands: Several Coca-Cola menu boards and signs are in a diner where Bud and Sissy hang out after a night at Gilley’s. At the Rodeo, cans of Coca-Cola are sold in the bleachers. The person sitting behind Bud and Sissy at the rodeo has a copy of the program with a Coca-Cola ad on the back cover. The slogan above the Coke bottle says: “To your Cap To the Winner.” Bud orders at the diner and there is a Coca-Cola clock on the wall. Drunk and upset Bud throws food and misses the waitress but hits Wes sitting at the counter. There are two Coca-Cola signs on the wall: one is a square Enjoy Coca-Cola and the other has a Coke can. Pam visits Bud at this home and there is a Coke can on the kitchen counter. Sissy returns home but does not find Bud. There are two Coke cans in the kitchen: one on the counter and the other near the sink. Pam drinks from a can of Fresca and cleans up the messy place before leaving a note for Bud.
