Coke Brands: When the editors at the San Francisco Chronicle decide to publish the first Zodiac cipher on page 4 of the newspaper, a nearly empty ACL bottle of Coke is seen left on the table in the conference room. At the San Francisco Police Department, a Coke can is seen on an inspector's cluttered desk near Inspector Toschi's. Back at the San Francisco Chronicle office, Robert and Paul discuss the Zodiac case by a 1960s Glasco Coca-Cola fountain dispenser with the slogan "Have a Coke" on its side panel. As Melvin Belli arrives at the St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Daly City, across the street at M&J Market Deli, the store window has a round Coca-Cola sign. As Graysmith sits and waits at home for Avery's call, there is a Fresca can next to a yellow coffee mug on top of the television. The white Fresca 12 fl oz can is from 1970 with "Only 2 calories per 8 oz serving" label above the trademark. Inspectors Toschi and Williams, and Sgt Mulanax visit the Union Oil plant in Pinole to interview suspect Arthur and there is a Vendo 63 Coke machine in the lounge. Plant supervisor remarks that the inspectors that the Coke machine is busted by the way. The Coke machine coin insert is covered by a piece of cardboard and duct tape. The side panel on both sides have here's the real thing slogan and hand holding a Coke bottle graphic. At the special screening for SFPD at the North Point Theater, Toschi's wife holds a Coke paper cup and Graysmith's girlfriend Melanie sips from a Coca-Cola paper cup. Another audience in the back row also has a cup. After visiting the Vallejo Police Department, Graysmith sits down at a diner with a square Coca-Cola clock with a square Coke wave logo on the wall. The clock face and wave logo are both lit, possibly a Ingress-Plastene Model G-012 size: 21"T x 12"W. To its lower left is a sign with a bottle of Coke and a plate of grilled cheese sandwiches and the caption: Coke Grilled Cheese. The table against the wall near the Coke sign has a Coke paper cup. Melanie returns home to visit Graysmith, as she walks into the living room, an empty ACL Coke glass bottle is on top of the bookshelves by the stack of files and papers and a file box. Graysmith wakes up Toschi at home and discuss the case at a diner where a 1960s Coke counter top fountain dispenser is visible in the background. The dispenser appears to be a Multiplex Dispenser No. ME-11040 Model AC3GGG119168 which dispense Sprite, Fanta root beer and Coca-Cola. The side of the fountain has the slogan: Have a Coke. Directly underneath the Coke dispenser and the table appears to have a red wooden Coca-Cola crate with Coke bottles. A Coke vending machine is in the employee break room where Vallejo PD George Bauer speaks to Mageau at the Ontario Airport.
